But one thing is for certain, the Washington State WR is screaming up mock draft boards of late …
Kyle Williams is the buzziest WR in the class
I knew Williams had a cult following among some tape evaluators, but yesterday, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that he’s “cemented himself as an early Day 2 pick.”
Sheesh, that escalated quickly.
Garafolo mentioned Williams is slated for nine pre-draft visits, including the Dolphins, Bears, 49ers, and Seahawks.
In the current version of the Super Model, we have Williams with a projected draft pick of 90 and a rating of 67.
I asked Dwain what would happen to his score if he did indeed go early on Day 2. Here’s what he said (via Slack screenshot, so you know it’s legit):
Previous prospects with that score include Josh Downs, Diontae Johnson, and Tank Dell.
It’s always difficult to know how much to react to buzz like this, but the drumbeat on Williams is too loud for us to ignore.
I’ve been prioritizing him in my final pre-NFL Draft best ball contests and will be watching his draft capital/landing spot closely.
At the very least, you can tell your buddies that you were hip to K-Dub (no idea if that’s his nickname, but it will make you sound more credible) before it was cool.

Don’t Believe Everything You Hear
It’s peak rumor-mill season as teams finalize their draft boards ahead of next week’s draft. It's very difficult to tell the difference between legitimate sources, smokescreens, and straight-up fake news.
While we (unfortunately) don’t have a crystal ball and the best we can do is make our most educated predictions of where players will get drafted, what we can do is remind you just how lightly rumors and pre-draft predictions should be taken.
It’s tempting to jump to conclusions, but just look at these 15 pre-draft rumors—should you really believe everything you hear? 👀👇
And Don’t Give Up Quite Yet
Fantasy football is very much a “what have you done for me lately?” business. This bleeds into dynasty leagues, too, although there is much more downside to giving up on a player too early in a dynasty league where you have the chance to control them for the foreseeable future.
With the draft less than two weeks out, we’ll see replacements get drafted and players that we initially had high hopes for in dynasty leagues fall by the wayside as if they were one of Andy’s toys in Toy Story.
But slow down. These four players may not have lived up to their lofty dynasty expectations early on, but there are plenty of reasons to keep them in your toy bins for a rainy day. ⬇️
